    Is with the vmwp.exe a permament activiation of Server 2012 R2 possible?

    Is there a trick to get rid of activation water mark on top of all programs? I remember when Win 8 was released, you could kill the twinui.dll thread in explorer.exe, and the activation message wouldn't show.
    Win 2012 R2 seems very nice, but that activation message is going to be a pain.

    How could I switch Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard into R2 Essentials? What to do with the svf.file?

    Thanks mate I created and put the file ei.cfg in the Sources folder and everything went well, I'm doing the installation at this moment, then put the result.

    The installation went well, now just use and activate ... last is going to be hard ... but he who does not enter the battle, will not know know victory!

    PS: The key **WW98Y works great, it`s a retail key, but not active ... at least so far ...

    Trying to install my existing Windows Server 2012 Essentials key how ever when i type slmgr /ipk and the product i get a nice error saying run a command
    comes up with Windows Activation Code 0xC004E016 The software Licensing Service reported that the product key is invalid
    any ideas ?

    "trying exiting key" as in trying to activate R2 with it? not surprising since it's a new product and not a simple upgrade as posted earlier.

    I guess that, like WIN 8.1 RTM, the name of the game is................KMS V 6 and no keys......so far ????????:(

    original & R keys are different and NOT exchangeable

    Like if you wanted to start your neighbor car with you key....

    don't use your key, just short the wires. I am sure there will be a solution just like that soon ;)
