OP says otherwise ? Code: Retail keys (including ProWMC upgrade keys), OEM: DM keys (Pre-installed windows 8 OEM), OEM:NONSLP keys activated users can upgrade & stay activated! Also a complete fresh install and re-activation should be possible. MAK of w8 does not activate. KMS of w8 does not activate 8.1
Quick one. To upgrade, we boot to OS and install that way? Boooting from Disc told me to do it this way
You can't upgrade if you boot from the disk, upgrades are always started from inside of windows, running setup.exe from the disk
Thanks Also it shows me only been able to 'keep personal files only' or 'keep nothing' Is this right? Thought there was an option to keep 'Windows settings, personal files and apps'?
What's wrong with this forum? I click page 48 and it takes me to page 47, I can't view the last page of this thread without posting
Depends if you are running 8 or 8.1 preview, only 8 can keep everything, but not sure about DVD install, that was said about the official update from the store
Everything is unknown about this type of update, only official update from the store has been talked about, we're not supposed to update this way
so if I have a laptop that has windows 8 already installed, I can just do a update from this iso and replace the key then do the slmgr -ato command or something then it will be activated because it has a "retail" oem key?
Hi guys, I have Windows 8.1 Core activated sucesfully, but I have a watermark... "Secureboot isn't configured correctly". How can I fix?
