Ok, I've browsed through 61 pages and I didn't find the answer. I'm on Windows 8 pro WMC using KMS for pro, then with the WMC upgrade key from last year. As mentioned, the op post states "Retail keys (including ProWMC upgrade keys), OEM: DM keys (Pre-installed windows 8 OEM), OEM:NONSLP keys activated users can upgrade & stay activated!" . However, by MrAnalysis, it seems that the upgrade to 8.1 is not possible. So is it actually possible or? I don't mind having to call up Microsoft to enter the 9 set codes to activate though. Totally confused.
You can't have read through the 61 pages, because otherwise you would have known the answer to your question. Do you really expect your KMS activation to work? Do you really not expect Microsoft to have tweaked their activation system with their new Windows?
guys this is the same build that would be available in October right? RTM (Release to Manufacturing) would be the exact same right?
Is it possible to activate a clean install of the MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.ENTERPRISE.RTM.X64.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT and use my Windows.8.pro.X64 originality activated via phone key ?? Can someone post or point me to some instructions please ?
No we can not, and I will be reinstalling windows in october anyways and for many times until then, so..
My original KMS Host on Server 2012 was reacting the same way when attempting to activate build 9471. Looked like the Host didn´t even recognize that attempt, as the counter in /dlv showed no changes after several attempts.
It's not KMS activation. I used the same method and it was KMS to start and then the WMC key converted it to Retail. I still don't know the answer to this yet either.
What I saw was two answers, which was asked by members to clarify as well. Op says yes it can, MrAnalysis says no it can't. Would like for Op to edit the first post if it really cannot be activated yet due to some activation WMC server not working. And yes, I looked through every page, took like 3 people to say it can't as well. So yeah. If can't please update first post, Op.
So the server returns a result of "Can not contact ..... bla bla" ? Maybe a method to prevent sniffers finding them ?
