Here, during install, the OS asked me for a key but the option to skip it was available and once OS finished istallation I put my retail key
there is only one available atm. Perhaps more to come latest in march. That one might be one of the final versions ... lol
When I try to install it goes from do you want to install up dates to something went wrong... setup has failed to validate the product key
There SHOULD be a link to the MEGA host at the top of this thread - that's where I got it. I have it installed in Hyper-V (Server 2012R2) and it's installing in OVB (8.1 side) as I type this. From what I have seen so far, my original suspicion has proved out - it's all about the pointing-device-centric, as they are the ones that have been the biggest critics of 8 overall; keyboard-centric users largely won't notice (or even care) all that much.
You can SKIP entering a product key during installation - instead, wait until after installation is done. (That is what I did in Hyper-V, and will repeat in OVB.) There's something I can't figure out - install took LESS time in OVB than Hyper-V - and that is despite the Hyper-V VM having more RAM (1536K for Hyper-V/Server 2012R2 v. 1024k in OVB/8.1 ProWMC). How did that hat get pulled out of the rabbit?
Knows somebody how to remove the language packs in this leaked Windows build? Is installed many times on my machine..
Unfortunately I don't even get the option to skip as I don't get the enter product key page it goes straight from the download updates page straight to the something went wrong
Does anyone know how to un-pin the stupid Store icon from the Taskbar ? I't keeps re-appearing after I restart
