I'm always doing fresh install anyway. It's better, it's recommended, and it's actually faster than 'fast' upgrade.
should work just like previous leaks. hit install and then upgrade while keeping all files and settings etc.
Thank you! You mean I don't need to extract it to USB first right? I will double click to mount the ISO file and run the setup ans that's it? I was always doing fresh install for the previous builds but this time I made too much things with 9926 that's why I don't like to reinstall..
Lol. This "new" start menu is worse than start screen with all apps view enabled. Cortana still sucks, and task view is rebranded/revamped windows7 aero task switch. At least we won't have to pay for this "upgrade".
with all the applications I have installed this is not always true. Easy to upgrade. When I find problems I can always use the "better" and "fast" fresh install. personal preference cheers
Yes you're right, but it has been a while since 9926 came out (January?) and I installed too many apps and started using it as a daily driver, now I know the moment I make clean install, MS will come with new build, so..
I am starting to split hair, but he asked how to upgrade it over previous build, not what is recommended or best to install.
Having to rebuild my laptop - 10036 installed fine but I installed my sound driver and my machine rebooted and when I next logged in all I got was a grey screen.and I couldn't do anything.
Read over at Neowin.net that the blocking bug was not Metro Apps, but a Start Menu crash.... More info at winbeta.org. As usual take this info with a grain of salt and if anyone can confirm it would be nice... T
if this is true we can always enable the other start menu as for me i will use metro if thats the case
I just noticed after downloading it that the ISO is about 0.5GB smaller than the equivalent 9926 one. Any thoughts why there's that much of a difference?
Everybody says nothing new in this build. IT is basically same with 9926. Is transparency feature not added as well?
Upgrade it and no problems yet even could upgrade pro to enterprise that worked well Ugly recycle bin tho
OneDrive error after choosing user/pass on first boot but it continues ok, start menu with a little transparency (wish it was configurable) but it's only fullscreen or the predefined size, if you remove the "metro" icons it continues the same size, recycle bin icon made with mspaint no problems so far (5MIN UP AND RUNNING!1)
