Upgraded 9879 to 9901 seems ok and stable so far, one problem I have cant access my files on my server, pings fine and can RDP in ok too but when I try to connect to shared folders I get this workstation is not authorised to connect or similar and ideas guys its driving me mad all sharing options seems ok
every one should be able to upgrade to Enterprise using 233PK with no problem....if your having issues most likely u have a corrupted installation or your running apps that are hindering the upgrade....if u have a anti virus remove it.
I downloaded the new 9901 via magnet link put it on a bootable thumb drive and did a fresh install everything installed smothly until I tried to open any of the apps, the screen for the app shows up but the app never loads. I tried a few thing I saw on the internet like refreshing the app store and it work the one time but when u close and reopen it doesn't open again. So I tied another fresh install off my USB and same issue. I didn't have this problem with build 9888. I'm going to try to update from 9879 to 9901 tonight if I don't get any suggestions thx I also couldn't install Framework 3.5 I got an error saying make sure ur connected to the internet. Also it took me awhile to get the wifi setting app to come up had to keep closing it and very fast reopen it and sometimes it would come up.
Now, Chrome Developer works from first install with no problems. And I use the same .ISO file I used on the Update from 9879 to 9901, which ended up with problems. OK, I Low Level formatted the HDD and done a clean install. That might be is needed after all! At this moment I'm on installing Office 2013 with Visio 2013 and after that some software which I use for some programming (PHP etc.) and Tools which I daily use for various checking and testing. Means I'll install all those normal apps which I also use on an Production Computer, only difference, I'll NOT use any sensitive data etc!! That said, This laptop running Windows 10 Alpha/Beta is simply just for testing and not for any normal work! The Installation of Apps I'll do right now, I'll do via Network on an separate connection, which isn't connected to my normal LAN. I still keep in mind that there is an Key Logger on hard working and Telemetry too, which will forward all infos to our all "Sponsor" of this OS!! And here the first glitch: I could not install/create a new PIN! Will post later screenshots from that Laptop, after done the most installs.
What's the error code and what hardware do you have? There's an ongoing issue with x99 intel chipset rigs BSODing with anything after 9860, something messed up with how the kernel talks to the new Intel CPU's in regards to PCI-E Addressing for GPUs.
on my SP2, windows does not seem to register pen/touch input correctly in modern apps. taps don't work as clicks, and pen input is some centimeters off. does that only happen to me or is it a general problem?
Just use KMS to activate, I tried all kinds of keys when I ran into this with 9888, and KMS worked in seconds
I installed with the xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-HQRJR and it got activated automatically, first time it did not accept and the second time when i tried it accepted it,everything is running smooth,i just wanted to ask whenever i restart i have enter my email and password for login is there anyway we can disable it.
I've installedd Build 9901 on my Surface Pro 2, just ran the setup.exe from the iso. Everything is working, except for my display driver. It just shows up as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. With the other builds I didn't have this problem. Is there a way to install the latest Intel HD Graphics? I already tried to manually install the latest by searching for the driver .inf Update: I've got it working by doing the following: -Download zip-file of latest Intel HD Graphics 4400 -Edit the .inf file in the Graphics folder --> change the Windows 8.1 header to [IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.4] -Reboot the Surface to Troubleshoot mode so you can install unsigned drivers. -Manually install driver through Device Manager
