How did the print spooler bug manifest for you? Best I can find is that the service would periodically restart for someone, but I haven't experienced that.
Thx. I'll try it next time i face it, but i don't see much to investigate, it's just an lsass fail witch is clearly logged. It's like it is stopped all the time, you got to manually start it if you want to print. I know the person who have this bug too and 9888, 9860 and 9901 dosn't have this bug for him too. It's not hard to create a script probably that will start the process, but i don't find this solution elegant enough.
Beside of the problems in the 9901, there also Ghost Messages shown on the Log On Screen, at least for me today twice! All Updates were done yesterday and nothing left and now as I booted up the 9901 twice I got the messages in the lower right that I should go to PC Settings and start the download and install of important updates! In fact, there isn't any update shown and also the sentence Check for Updates isn't there! There only show now: Advanced options!
Hello, I installed Windows 10 build 9901, and I found some bug. The shortcut "this PC" duplicates randomly. My SSD is 100% usage at startup for a good twenty seconds. My keyboard does not appear if I'm uppercase and NUMLOCK stays on even if I disable it. When starting the PC, I have twice the image of my account that appears before the desktop appears. I would like to disable all Modern UI icons of start menu. I could uninstall all applications, except for the Store. How to remove it from the Start menu? If anyone has a solution for these problems, it would be really friendly! Thank you.
Nothing happen like that for me! Maybe every user get his/her own 'special' outcome with this release?? For me the bad outcome is that .NET Framework 3.5 (with 2.0) didn't works and that I could not use an PIN Code anymore! Most of the other things just working fine as far as I'd installed them. Also Store and Store apps are working with no problems.
How? Please explain how you install and get it working?! Thanks. Fact is, I downloaded 3.5 from MS as 64bit because I use 64bit. It has .NET 2.0 inside and that's what I really need for to be able to use Moborobo! The install starts fine until short to be finished and then it rolls back! I had it working on 9879 and 9841, with no problems, but 9901!! Please advice. Thanks.
In my case I have installed on earlier build upgrade and upgrade again and still working as part of the system
For my use of 9901 (and all previous builds) has all been clean installs. 9901 does seem very stable for me when it does startup properly. I get a BSOD every 2nd or 3rd boot still, but it is quite stable while running. Still no luck with Metro/Modern apps but I am not worried about that at the moment. Hopefully we will get another leak to play with before the new year.
For my situation, I am assuming that it must be related to hardware/drivers. So far I have just been using the drivers from Windows Update. But I may try to install manufacturer drivers like the AMD Omega and other and see if it helps my case.
@endbase: OK, I installed Silverlight, which was offered by Update this morning, and after done that "Check for updates" were gone. I think it will come back if the next update is available. Regarding .NET 3.5, I'd send an report to MS already abut it. To do and install of an older Build, install .NET 3.5 and than update again to 9901, isn't a way to go. And at this time nobody will know what happen by the next leak?! It could be better and it could be worse! Don'gt know why the devs at Moborobo still using that old .NET 2.0 which is outdated already! Maybe it has something to do with Android OS because that Apps is mainly used for to get an Smart Phone connected to the PC for to maintain and exchange data and most Smart Phones and Tablets using Android (all versions)!
BIOS is up-to-date. I think what I might do is re-install 9901 from scratch again. I was thinking about doing a Refresh but I am not too confident that it will work. I'll post my results and see if I can resolve the issue with Metro apps and my BSOD as well.
I don't think, that your problems have anything to do with your hardware or drivers, because the problems existed since you have done the OS installation. By the way: After my first clean install of Build 9901 I had exactly the same problems as you (no Windows Update, no Apps available etc.). My solution: I have completely reinstalled the OS from scratch - and everything worked flawlessly.
it still happened to me on all builds, only triggers based on some events sadly, its an annoying bug, I hope it gets fixed.
