Would appreciate if someone could test if AMD Eyefinity + bezel compensation with the Omega driver (14.12) works on this build. On 9888 with 14.12, bezel compensation was broken (for me anyway).
I do not recommend to install Samsung's Magician at all (latest available and tested version: v4.5). It crashed already while trying to detect Samsung SSDs.
Samsung's Magician works for me just fine, 500gb 840 EVO rapid mode makes it much faster, 4.5 is the newest but was unable to use rapid mode due to the software not recognizing the OP, so I rolled back to 4.4 Having no problems at all.
Well, it's only for normal HDs as far as I can tell. But thanks for the link I was really puzzled that all of the sudden my big mech drive disappeared after sleep. Even after formatting and going back to 8.1, I had the issue, but not in linux... So a quick install and hdparm -s 0 /dev/hdc fixed the issue as far as I can tell now.
Guys, build 9901 doesn't even support updates? I can't even find a way to make to search for... Any opinions/solutions?
Windows Update Fix Code: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000
Anyone know how many tiles are on the start menu in 9901. On my laptop with 9901 clean install there are 9 tiles with 3 that always update. Since I installed 9901 on my main system that I had Nvidia Driver problems with and I installed over 9888 I only have 3 tiles and I don't see anyway of adding them. What gives
I can confirm that the registry trick that the other users have mentioned works great. You wont get any Windows related updates though since this build is not supported, but you will get Office updates still.
