I've been trying to revert to build 9879 from 9901, but I'm not able to run the ISO. Keep getting the error "Something Happened" and I'm unable to boot from USB. Anyone have any tips?

That happened to me too and NOTHING would fix it. Finally, had to find my old Windows 7 DVD and install that and then fix what ever was wrong with the flash drive. Not sure why it would not install from the same drive/source I used to install it from a week ago. Makes no sense to me. Anyway, instead of trying to solve the mystery I just used rufus within Windows 7 and started from scratch and that worked fine. Also cleaned out my SSD's just in case...

I just want to quote this and say a BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU!

Three of my drives died suddenly in December. I spent 40 euros for a NEW PCB because I thought something fried the drive. Waited a month to get it from america. I cannot believe that MS does not issue some sort of popup warning to ALL Windows 10 testers. I spent MONEY and so many nerves. IDIOTS.

    [Solved]

Hello Guys Thank you for this build, it just is fantastic, I love it..........This is what Windows should have been long time ago.I have a small question and I am very sorry to bother if this has been posted or solved here: How do you get Net framework 3.5 installed? With this thread I acieve to restore updates and get rid of watermark but couldn't install net framework with control panel/programs/ enable features. I even tried a solution from internet pulling the update from the distribution but it did not work, I really did not understand the first part where I need to boot from linux to get the update. Can someone help me? I really don't want to go back to 8.1.....Thank you so much

I've mentioned before, all the "feedback" is about eye candy, but I am sure the SSD issue will be fixed. Still amazes me that the core is second to UI. 100:1 users giving feedback haven't a clue about anything but "start button", "start screen", "Aero", SHADOWS!

dunno, we will see soon enough :sigh:

Is that an issue on actual releases? Or is it just a leak problem?

They do have a fix for it.
I posted the MS link to the fix back at the end of Dec. 2014.
And as far as I have seen and read in the privet MS forums it will be in the CP release.

I am curious about the SSD issue - as Murphy asked, is it with all builds or just the 2 leaked ones? When I think of 'bricked' I think locked up, is this the case here?
I have installed several of the official builds, w/o and issues - all on SSDs.
9888 and 9901 installed on SSDs were fine until I started deleting things from the start menus, then the screen started flashing and I couldn't do anything. I assumed it was a Nvidia/graphic issue and uninstalled both builds.
Now I recall that when I would re-boot with the drives still in the machine it would say there were errors on the drive and do a"scan and fix".
I am now wondering if this was not a graphics issue??? All the SSDs we fine after the "scan and fix"

    I am currently using 9879 on a Samsung PRO 850 256GB - no problems.

I think the drives I installed the unofficial builds were OCZ Vertex 4 256 - not sure if it matters????
Have a Crucial M550 256 - maybe try that - can never have too many SSDs - :D

@WBD - thanks for the info - you posted as I was typing
