There's really no point in doing so, unless your only goal in life is to have a massive e-penis. Pics or stfu
i ve window 8 pro build9200 32bit can i use this key and convert in wind 8.1 pl. rely me i need win8.1
you cannot convert a windows 8 > windows 8.1 by simply using a key. You need to upgrade by downloading the iso from MS or get the files through the store. Upgrading to 8.1 is free if you have a legit W8 as your current OS
I dont get it, the ppl still pissed off about this metro UI and they insist with this and even more, they want you to use metro even more, with more customizations and stupid things like that, that wont make the user experience better but even more crappier than before. Ok, no more start menu but you cant force me to use a phone interface on a 30 inches monitor, that wont happend, ever. 20 years using the same interface and now, because you want to penetrate a "new" market, that is already saturated, you cant make me use apps and stuff like that.
At the moment, it’s hard to determine whether or not Windows 8.1 will be worth the upgrade, as there may be some changes to 8.1 between now and when it’s released. However, based on what I’ve seen about it as it currently stands, I think it will be NOT worth the upgrade.
Firstly, we'll need to see the final it's worth or not! Secondly, I strongly believe that there will be quite a bit of improvements which are really worth to do an upgrade! Therefore I believe that you would be quite lonely if still think otherwise! Just my 2 Satangs!
Agree, but still, an upgrade with the total package is no option for me. At home I have Win8 Pro, at work I am testing 8.1 9385 as an upgrade from a previous 8.1. At work everything I changed manually was overwritten: Registry settings Scheduled tasks Disabling Store Removed apps etc. etc I would like however: KBxxxxxx to have Kernel 6.3 (futurewise) KBxxxxxx to boot to desktop KBxxxxxx to disable immersive shell KB's to improve Windows 8 experience on a desktop But I will test (as usual) 8.1 Preview at work. At home I spend 2 months to tweak my O.S. to make myself happy Downgrade to Windows 7 is no option, Windows 8 is different and I want to keep up with the newest thing.
Why would you not upgrade, even if there are only a few improvements, it's free! Microsoft if giving you something for free, you better take it, it's not going to happen again soon Windows 8 will be old in a couple of months, Windows 8.1 will be the newest thing then.
In my opinion Win8 is not a O.S. for desktops. Maybe at home I stick with it how it is and wait for Windows 8.x or Windows 9. At work I will upgrade and see what it brings.
