Is there any practical way to upgrade from 8.1 Preview? Even after editing the MinClient, I still get a hard block in the compatibility check.

I'd rather not do a fresh install.

The only thing stopping me from dual booting is a lack of video drivers for my Intel / AMD hybrid graphics o_O

Does anyone know in which .dll or where the Start menu backgrounds are store in? In Windows 8 I think they were in imageres.dll as far as I remember but I can't find them in this build neither in 9431 :(

I have to use custom unsigned drivers from leshcatlabs.net for my HP Envy 17 for Windows 8 and they're buggy as all hell. The Windows 7 drivers do not work with Windows 8 at all. Not alot of testing if any at all has been done with my AMD graphics (Radeon 6850M). HP refuses to get drivers for Windows 8 and my laptop which pisses me off

If only it were that easy haha. My laptop requires hybrid drivers (Which are Intel and AMD bundled). There are special Intel drivers that are installed with the AMD drivers that control the fan speed and the AMD GPU. When it comes to the display drivers, HP really jacked this one up......

Yea it's a great forum for everything GPU related, the latest Beta released drivers always pop up there first and loads of experienced members to help out, Benchmarks, Troubleshooting, MSI Afterburner, etc etc :)

Does any of you have any old game, that uses triple buffer? It seems Win 8, just doesn't work well with that, in fact this is one of reasons why I don't upgrade to Win 8, on 7 and XP I don't have that problem. Btw does this new mod utility gives support for ATI 3xxx Chip on Windows 8 and makes all the apps works and render videos?

I was hopping Windows 8.1 could sort these problems
