To those that have uploaded modified versions of the leak- I am sure everyone that wants it is grateful for your help but you ARE breaking a MDL rule. I am not sure how the original leak relates to the rules but if you've changed and file(s) in the leak and uploaded it to share here, you indeed have broken a rule. I am just saying.
Does it break the rule in my case ? I just mixed the boot folder of 9471 to the installation files of 9477 in order to make it be bootable ISO
No matter what I do I can't get system settings or start screen search to work, this is downright weird.
Easy enough to make a bootable iso, that is installable. run setup and when ask chose En or Ru or Cn to install, everything was in English... lots of stuff does not work by click click but hell its faster than 8.0. easy enough to get by and get use to... so far stable for me... over 2hrs running. so far great to test... No Search - No settings - No customize. or very little ... nice so far... and thanks to the LEAKER...
You modified it, so yes. I am not entirely sure the leak should be here at all. Its not the original. It came as a folder- no the original ISO or even a untouched copy of it.
Almost as you say, but now ~6h. This one is, but just a little faster. May be for me only? How about RTC problem (that one from HWBOT tests)? Have some one tested 8's legacy yet?
I don't see the mods closing this thread and deleting the links so... like you said it was not an original iso so posting links to modded ver of the original chinese ver(to en) should not be considered a modded rtm or retail ms os and I'm hoping not breaking rules. If it is ohh well I didn't post any links.
Don't waste your time, anything to do with metro is hit or miss, PC Settings and start search are completely FUBARed, even if you do it right.
I am familiar with this rule, I had uploaded patches to convert from MSDN ISO to CoreSL(OEM)/Pro ISO which wasn't allowed after talks with urie and yen, even had addition tot the rules because of it. They may not be deleting this thread or links and they shouldn't have to. Its up to you and everyone to follow the guidelines. No matter how harmless the mod to the iso is, whether that be language change or adding PRO to make patches smaller, it is not allowed.
It said that "A modified ISO means that it doesn't match an original manufacturer's (such as M$) / OEM vendor's ISO content" But the origin download file is not OEM vendor's ISO content, just installation files, so other ISOs made from those files cannot be called modified ISO
There's no point in arguing it will just get you a ban, trust me. If indeed the posters of the links for this leak broke rules then it is up to the mods discretion to judge. We as lowly noobs are not to be fourm cop's or mini mod's. Also it's just not worth it. This leak is pure crap anyhow's.
You're spot on sir, this is not OEM. How ever, it is official (Original) MS ISO content and it had to of come from a ISO- since when did M$ start giving out their OS if file/folder format (here you go everybody, our latest release in hundreds of files format , just doesn't happen.) Even if we do not take that in account and portray the files themselves as offical MS content released by M$ in the format it was uploaded as originally, there are still versions of it being uploaded and shared that are not the same as the original rel(eak)ease.
Starting to get tired of them. Can't wait for the rtm. I just get everything working right and then bam another leak lol. I'm one of those "I got to try it" types.
