Just tried activating using a Windows 8 Enterprise Key from MSDN. Doesn't seem to work, because the "Metro"-Controlpanel still shows the wrong key. Would love to post a screenshot of the error when entering a key, but I can't posts links or images yet
It makes no difference trying to add language pack once activated tried already I posted some screenshots of Most apps in English and other bits without modifying any system files like 30 pages back. The system it self remains mostly Chinese though.
Yah I can't read the control panel screens but it's not giving me any download option even setting the date forward past the GA
Yah if there's one thing Microsoft is not, it's stupid. Well... Millenium Edition and Vista were pretty stupid, but other than that, they're solid
LOL, I am slightly surprised that the MEGA is still working, don't want to go thru all these pages, if you got other links, please post it, tks. I think Whistler still haven't finished his task, no? btw, where's chris123NT?? still crying in his bed?? ....... sometimes nightmares do come true.
Windows 7 was like Vista done right.... Hopefully 8.1 will be Windows 8 done right....They sure need a lot of "do overs"
I dunno, I liked Windows 8. It isn't as fast as 7 but it's still pretty good overall. It's nothing like Vista. Vista was a PIECE OF CRAP.
Would guess even when it´s ready it would run under modified ISOs, which are not allowed for RTM builds .
Vista runs pretty nice on my actual system...LOL. Intel i5 3570 @ 4 GHz + 16 GB RAM . Back in the times it was a PITA .
Yes i know but it is good for testing in VM to see what is new in this build, of course link in private messages
It wasn´t primarily the hardware that made it feel slow. It was the the lack of GPU acceleration of the desktop, which made it consume insane ammounts of RAM and CPU time with several windows open.
That is strange because that's the point of a language pack to replace everything on the system. This worked perfectly for me on Windows 7 and 8. Why would it not work on a finished 8.1 version? The only limitation was the license. It was only available for Pro and higher.
