That's what I did. First small MSU worked after rebooting, but not the larger MSU on second reboot. Had to let Win 8.1 9600.16596 do the deep scan & fix before booting back in. Runs fine now.
- The Installation of the 64-Bit-Updates was flawless, but KB2919355-x64 made my System un-stable, so I un-installed it. - KB2919442-x64 can't be un-installed via Software. - The latest Speccy-Version crashes with a "Security_Kernel_Access_Error" (Smiley-BSOD).
Anyone found a way to enable the shutdown button on the Start menu on a touchscreen device? there's a reg hack to remove it, but I've not found anything to add it Thanks in advance
It's not good way to update beta version on rtm version. I decided on the first time don't update this version. This is the first time that leaking beta update version.
No offence taken. I was running leaked version on my VM, so naturally I've tried to update it, not my main system. Will try to update RTM as soon as I'll find some free time. Although I'm still wondering how @EFA11 managed to update leaked version. Thanks mate!
Regarding the update process. If we are running the basic English version, do we still have to boot into Audit mode to install update KB2919442 or do we even need to install this update? Can we update it just by running it norm?
Can anyone confirm if the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller driver current windows 8.1 version is 6.3.9600.16459 has been up dated in the update or is still the old one? Wondering if any value at all in installing. Obviously a slow (very slow) meltdown that full screen appz are no good on a desktop and an x icon to close them is not worth an update if you do not use the store/appz/metro in the first place because you enjoy windows over fullscreen. Regards
Ok so I just reinstalled 8.1 Enterprise in VMWare, updated fully, activated with MTK, installed the smaller update Windows8.1-KB2919442-x64.msu, rebooted, installed the big update Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64.msu, rebooted, and this time it worked fine So yea, doesn't like to work with the leaked 8.1 update 1, but it works with 8.1 RTM

This update works perfectly but has a few glitches like:- 1.Internet explorer won't start for some reason 2.The taskbar will disappear & reappear from the bottom of the screen if you click on the startbutton to go to the startscreen & then press the startbutton again & move the mouse away from the startbutton 3.Windows explorer freezes for sometime after every reboot & you won't be able to clik on any desktop icons but you will still be able to access the startscreen BTW:- There's no problem in using a MS account after installing this update right?? Is anyone using MS accounts after updating Windows 8.1??
