From my experience, once you hide the newest version, it shows you the next oldest, and then the next oldest, but eventually it goes away. Same for Silverlight.
Hi, I installed this very late last night. I just installed the two updates in the prescribed order. The second one which is the big one, took 30-45 minutes. I was glad to be able to try this out. When it is finalized, I'll download it, to keep with other downloads. For me it doesn't help to combine app elements with the desktop. I think it just "muddies the waters." I know a man in his late 60s that bought a Windows 8 laptop, and couldn't make "Head or Tails" out of it. He thought the way to shut it off was to unplug it. He had no idea there was an official way to power it down. I don't like the app store button on the taskbar, or the alphabetical breakout of the app menu. After all the work of customizing Windows 8.1 to suit, this makes it look "ickier." I won't use it for myself. At some point I'll be making some configuration changes to this guy's laptop. If I add Update 1 for him, when it's finalized, it will confuse him, more. Happy Computing!
LOL, actually it was quite obvious, no matter how you set the date format on CP, the date format of the time stamp displayed in digital signature is always the same.
The point is that Bing Bar for IE has also become intrusive in recent months (could be recent update to IE or bing). I usually install bing bar but disable it in IE (use it only when needed). However, on each IE startup, it asks me whether to enable or disable. Finally, I uninstalled bing bar and got rid of it. IE11/10 also has this annoying habit of blocking more content. Often when you click on some content that you want to see, it gives a warning. If you agree, it should lead to the content but it does not. Result, click again and then go.
What about these updates which i got in windows update can i install them on this version like before? tnx
