How final is the RTM Escrow from this thread? When MS finalizes it will I have to uninstall this and install the official, or will Windows Update bring me to the true final when the time comes? I haven't had any bugs to speak of with it other than not liking the right click menus opening to the left instead of the right of the mouse pointer.
I'm not 100% sure but I think escrow builds are considered true RTM and receive the same updates as signed off RTM. Normally no new fixes/improvements are added during escrow phase, except when there's a really huge, big, epic showstopper bug in it, so you don't miss anything. Still I recommend to wait for the signed off build, even if it's just to prevent some activation or update problems in the future (you never know for sure afterall...).
If you want my opinion I don't think that 16610 is actually an ESCROW build, there are still some definite bugs that I hope will be fixed for RTM. Was kinda hoping that wzor would leak 17019 but that's probably not going to happen at this point, oh well lol.
Wzor said he is now preparing new "repertoire". Maybe build 17019 RTM-ed and we will see new leaks soon. I hope.

I've heard someone saying that skype had a problem after update, and it makes sense. If you think about it, skype probably verifies versions, and since the update isn't actually released to the public, the version of your os would be invalid. You could *try* it, but using any leaks and expecting perfect results would just be asking for trouble. Also, you could try uninstalling and re-installing if you have issues. It could be that it's just an older version of the app that is incompatible, and a fresh download would work.
