So, is there a new leak that came out after this one? Where can I get it? Should I? I downloaded all freaking updates through Windows Update (including updates that were released AFTER the original Escrow update), Windows Hotfix Downloader, and Komm's Update Checker (which found the most updates).

I wonder if the Escrow Updates 2 and 3 improve performance even further! I actually had to install over 75 updates for Windows using Komm's Update Checker AFTER properly installing Escrow Update 1.
That's because update 1 doesn't include any previous updates, at least the current leak doesn't, not sure if that will change for RTM.
instal the update 1 without any rollup updates on win 8.1 pro clean installation @my friend pc works like charm worth taking a risk
