Just wondering after apply KB2919355 update on my Windows 8.1 Pro, I got boot loop which cannot enter Windows...
DO NOT INSTALL THIS UPDATE! It permanently screws up Office 2013 activation even if you format and reinstall clean Windows 8.1. It has some kind of a hardware lock. I am pretty sure that soon all Windows 8.1 Escrow PCs will request a purchase or will prevent you from using your PC in any way or form. I used to easily activate Office, but now, even after a format and clean OS install without Escrow, MS Office 2013 cannot be activated. I am going to go around and post in as many threads as I can so people can save their current activations. You guys should do the same - stop talking about an update that is out there to permanently screw you over.
ok, I am running 17024 or whatever it is, with Office ProPlus x64 2013, Project and Visio. All of them are still activating just fine against my "kmsss v1.1.5" on the local kms server machine. Windows itself is not KMS however, it is a retail ProWMC.
On the Web MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.2014.UPDATE.X86.ONLY.MSU.9600.17025-WZT or MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.2014.UPDATE.X64.ONLY.MSU.9600.17025-WZT
no problem of activation with office SP1 and Windows 8.1.1 always enabled even after formatting. THANK YOU JOSH CELL
Office 2013 SP1 is now being pushed on Windows Update. I installed it, rebooted, and no problems with activation of Windows or Office 2013.
