[LEAK] Windows 8 Build 7955 x86 (original ISO)

    So if I boot my notebook with this iso, I will get Win8 setup or Win7?

    @meandmeme: Problem solved! You can't run installprep.exe in an x64 build!
    @Fisk: You will get Win7 setup because the new installer only works under an installed x86 os.

    can't just change the autorun.ini from stup.exe to "sources/installprep.exe"? or it will affect the boot sector?

    If you change the autorun.inf, then you can use the new setup under an running windows 7. With this iso, you can't use the new setup from a bootable media.

    If install.exe is also in boot.wim (which is to be expected) you probably can.
    When the dvd is booted press ctrl + shift + f3, this opens cmd, now just kill setup.exe and open X:\sources\installprep.exe.
    Notice that the driveletter is actually X, do not point to the dvd drive itself but really type X!!

    Why this original 7955 ISO doesn't have all the MS tools the torko's ISO had?

    If I downloaded the previous leak, & extracted the files to a flash drive, can I just extract the setup.exe file from this original ISO, or do I have to extract all the files from the original ISO?
