Hi Folks, Sorry if this isn't a good forum to put this in, but I hope that maybe you guys will have some idea of an answer... I have acquired some old Dell PCs from ebay and wish to lease them out to my customers (Running Linux). Now, in EU law, it is ok to lease hardware, but it is illegal to "rent" software without permission from the rights holder. PCs do have software in them - the BIOS. Does anyone know what terms computer BIOSs are released under? Could Dell stop me from leasing these systems out? How do other IT leasing companies do this? Thanks folks
