Legit product key from my Dell laptop on a new system build

    Please excuse the noobness in this post. I currently have a legit product key for Windows 7 Home Premium that came with my Dell Mx11. I tried to use the product key that came with my Dell on a new computer I built with a GA-A75M-UD2H motherboard. I had a feeling it would not validate, but I had to try anyway. Is there a way I can use that product key on this new system? Would BIOS modding allow me to use my product key from my Dell on another system? If so, do I just need to download the Award Tool program and just follow the directions in the BIOS modding thread? Specifically the instructions in this thread "How to Modify Your Own Bios Using AMI Mod Tool and Award Mod Tool?"

    Did you get the option for telephone activation? Use it.

    Yeah telephone activation will work. Once you get all the drivers installed and windows updates on new pc. Make a backup image. Then you should never have to call again.
