After a lot of users stated this was working, I tried it too. For me everything went fine too. 2 things to mention: Slic dump toolkit does not work, when the bios backup is flashed. It states that dumping is not possible. The marker thing works correct, but clrmarker gives out the message: "Error: Marker deleted". But setmarker worked fine and everything went good, so no worry. You flash the bios via Winphlash64. Just google it. For creating the usb flash disk, just use the HP tool, located in the bios recovery thread in the Vista area. And finally many thanks to all the people, which tested the procedure und reportet that it is working here, especially to the two who answered my questions per PM.

could someone please give a comprehensible and reproducible summary of what i have to do to flash the lenovo 0769 from slic 2 to slic 2.1 i'm not new to this and have done it quite a few times but these instructions here are chaotic and irreproducible - unstructured at best. despite that i really appreciate your work thanks

How to is found at : First off i am sorry for the mistakes i hope i have posted in the right place,i watched the youtube video and followed the guide,i went down the list and found the model number (1846) and its black unlike the rest witch are blue,the semi colon on the end of the line is blue,when clicked on this it takes you to the ibm bios for this model. Does this mean there is no bios mod to remove the whitelist and the slic upgrade gedtheshed
ive modded several desktop mobos now, asus, gigabyte etc etc, but i just cant get this to work I think ive done the first part ok but my bios still shows as slic 2.0
