    Hello All;

I just got in a Lenovo G770 Laptop yesterday for my Birthday.
I really hate the BIOS, and not being able to do anything within it, as I do in my other systems.
Could someone unlock this for me?

The BIOS have been updated to the current version, of which is the link above.

The motherboard can handle 16Gb of RAM, however, the BIOS are setup for only 8Gb of RAM.
Right now, I have 1 8Gb stick in one slot, and the other slot if empty.
I read a post from 2 years ago, where you have to enable the BIOS to see all the installed memory, within the InsydeH20 BIOS, however, I am not given them luxuries at all.

I also need to Enable hardware-v, and i not given that option either.
These BIOS, factory set, completely suck.
I am used to being able to work in the BIOS and do what I need to do, this limitation is a joke.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help on this issue.

    Thank you

'the BIOS are setup for only 8Gb of RAM' - how can you sure about that?? And VT should be enabled by default.

VT - In not enabled by default... I am trying to do virtualbox, and it is erroring with the VT, and the information points to the BIOS, not being set for to run in 64bit VT.

When I put 8gb in one slot, and put anything from 2gb-8gb stick in the other slot, the BIOS reads as:
    8+2 - -1865
    8+8 - 6468

So, from what I have read in other forums, is that the BIOS is not reading the memory correctly, and needs to be set to read the fully installed memory.

    Thanks for the link.
I have looked at it, and it is rather old.
I am really not sure how to do something like this on my own.
As the BIOS is a very delicate creature, that I prefer not to mess up.
I have flashed my BIOS with Windows and USB before.
So, that I am able to do, it is just doing the modification on something that I have never worked with before
    Is a little nerve wrecking.

I have opened a new thread in the BIOS Mod section of the forum.
So hopefully someone can come in a assist.
However, until then, I am going to go back to the site you provided, and see what I can find out, or figure out.

Thanks once again with your assistance.
