    R51e

    Hello,

I am using a Thinkpad R51e and I wonder if there is a SLIC BIOS for me. On IBM website, my BIOS version is 78ET71WW. Please help, thank you.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Worked like a charm my friend :)

I have not updated back to the 2.19 bios, but I'm sure that will be no problem as I've done the update from 2.17 to 2.19 in the past with no issues.

    THANKS A MILLION!

Ok I updated to 2.19 using the official updater from Lenovo and it blew the SLIC table away during the update. Not a big deal as I just reflashed with the 2.17 you provided and I'm back in business, just thought I'd report this to everyone here.

Yes the bios link you provided uses the TP-79 xrm cert.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I just realized after doing more research that my BIOS: 7LET56WW, actually has a SLIC table already, so I don't need a modified BIOS. And unfortunately I have a widescreen model so I can't use your modified BIOS anyway. But thanks anyway for your generous help! I really appreciate it ;)

I received my X61. I used Everest Ultimate Edition to see the information of ACPI. There is an entry "SLIC" with OEM ID/OEM Table ID and things like that. So I assume I don't have to use the BIOS, right?

    Thanks.
