Hi, If someone (TTAV134, Yen?) could enlighten me how to restore the original Bios to my Thinkpad X201 (Windows 7 X64). If I use the standard Lenovo updater (Bios version 1.32), I get a messagebox telling me that an update is not necessary as I am already running the latest version. I still have the original bios.bak which was created when I updated to TTAV134's latest version whitelist bios. Thanks.
dont use the backuped bios edit PHLASH.INI [UI] Advanced=1 Upon opening the WinPhlash (32 or 64 bit), click "Advanced Settings" then check and uncheck the boxes so it looks like this: ("Flags" Tab): [ ] Verify BIOS part number [ ] Flash only if BIOS version is different [ ] Flash only if BIOS version is newer [ ] Verify BIOS image size [ ] Verify BIOS checksum [ ] Zero block before erasing [x] Verify block after programming [x] Disable Axx swaping automatic detection (if present) [ ] Clear CMOS Checksum
thanks for the speedy answer, but to make sure I am doing nothing to stupid, which file to I choose to upgrade? C:\DRIVERS\FLASH\6quj10us\6QET62WW\... Do I still have to tick not to upgrade DMI? WinPhlash64 asks me to load a file with extensions rom, ro2, wph, wp2, which are nowhere to be found in the extracted directories.
