Do you think, it took so long, until there is a new Bios-Release available for R500?

But if I had origin Lenovo-SLIC-table, it will be NOT overwritten by bios-update or in new Bios-File there is a SLIC-table, too?

How does Bios-update verify, if I have origin SLIC or modded?

You've request a short replay, i did it.
I've made a generic answer to your question: does modifications are overrides after bios upgrade, yes they are.
concerning your SLIC table, if you already have one, you will not loose it.

You must know that EFI Pheonix technologie is something new, and except here, nobody already figure out to insert missing marker and pubkey.

extraction of my first post:
once flashed, upload a new ACPI RW report and the winflash.log and in any case winflash.log is mandatory.
can you upload winflash.log please i absolutely need it.

unfortunately its not flashing, it just reading the old bios and giving a that error and it gets closed. it doesn't flash and any change doesn't happen,

so please let me know what to do?

in same folder than WinFlash.exe.

please find the attachment,

 

in WinFlash folder,

edit the file PFLASH.RSP, delete the line -slp:MarkerTP8F.bin
save the change and flash again.
Once done upload WINFLASH.LOG

no more, no less, nothing else.

The method to insert SLIC in these new bios is not fully discovered.

removing -slp:MarkerTP8F.bin in PFLASH.RSP was for debuging only.

now repeat flashing with:

-sa
-ss
-slp:MarkerTP8F.bin

in PFLASH.RSP
if it fail that mean this method doesnt work for this machine, anyway upload the resulting log file.

 

Same error as before that said "SLP Type: Slp20Markers not found in BIOS; Fail: UNSUPPORTED"

I need to clarify that my T420 is no pre-installed Windows 7 before. it might be empty slic because there is nothing in version area of Slic.

 

Typically, for mod use $01c8000.fl2 BIOS.

I did do comparison between .FL1 and .FL2 and found there are lot of differences in the behind. May I know why there are .FL1 and .FL2 existed instead of one of them?
