Hi, Any chance you can re-upload the bios LENOVO_ThinkStation-S10-LENOVO-2WKT47A.rar as the link is not working anymore? Thanks
Make a DOS bootable Floppy/or USB stick/, boot from it and flash bios. /read manual for flashing procedure/
I tried that already with a DOS bootable USB stick, which does not work with BIOSUPTP.EXE. Also it will not fit on a floppy disk that I do have, I tried that too as the all the files are ~3MB combinded. I see you have created two new files with are the same size. Yet both of those are larger than the original BIOS file which is called $01A0000.FL1 and is only 729 KB in size. Is it going to brick my system if I force the larger 1,029 KB files? Which one of these files below is meant to be flashed from the modded BIOS, ? $01A0000.FL1 = 797 KB created on 27/02/2007 $01A0000.ROM = 1,029 KB created on 8/07/2011 $01A0000_SLIC.ROM = 1,029 KB created on 8/07/2011
Rename $01A0000_SLIC.ROM to SLIC.ROM and try: 1. from Windows run BIOSUPTP.EXE and select SLIC.ROM 2. from DOS phlash16.exe /x /cs SLIC.ROM Add. $01A0000.FL1 - original bios $01A0000.ROM - non modified, unpacked bios (by Andy's Phoenixtool) $01A0000_SLIC.ROM - modified with Slic 2.1 bios BIOSUPTP.EXE - Windows application
I renamed $01A0000_SLIC.ROM to SLIC.ROM, and then from a DOS bootable flash stick I used phlash16.exe /x /cs SLIC.ROM The Phoenix Phlash16 Utility starts, performs the following functions as listed below, and displays an error: Phoenix Phlash16 Error: BIOS ROM file may be corrupt (Extended checksum not zero) PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT 1. Loads Image file (SLIC.ROM) = tick 2. Verify interface information = tick 3. Backup system BIOS ROM = . Thank you for your time and effort, but it seems this one may have failed, unless you have an extra trick up your sleeve?
