@haiduongbros Thanks for the information. I'll give it a try later today and post the results. EDIT: I wasn't able to get my mods to work, but I did use the file you posted and it worked without a problem. I did have to copy the $image2R.rom file into the directory that contained the original Lenovo update and rename it to $image2R.usf, then flash. All is working after that. Thanks for the help.
Hey I cannot install T43_R52-70ET69WW_SLIC2.1_no_1802_no_2010 bios mod properly. I have to do it with my hard disk plug out because otherwise it shows me the 2010 error. I dont have operating system on this disk because it is new and i cant install it also because of that error. I manage to install lenovo 1.29 bios because it was in .img. I tried to install this mod but i have problems with .rom file. I used phlash16 and most of the times it gives me an error. Now it worked becuase i put like this phlash16.exe /x /s $0199000_SLIC2.1_M09_no_1802_no_2010.rom. It went fine but know when i plug my disk it deosnt give me the 2010 error but it still deosnt work. How should i install it correctly? Or maybe there is other version with more user friendly extension. Any ideas what should i do? I m using pendrive with dos on it.
Yep. I did that. I just wrote the whole file name too give you the clue what file did i use. I tried to go back to bios 1.01 becuase i read that before 1.04 there was no 2010 error but I still cant do anything. With the mod bios and 1.01 bios there is no error 2010 when the drive is pluged in, but i cannot do anything. When i put cd or bootable pendrive to install windows it takes forever, then it says initialazing (that's good news I thouht) but then it goes black and nothing happens. The hard drive is new. It is samsung hm 160gb. Laptop is t43(1872) of course. Thank you for your quick answer. I bought this stupid drive yesterday and it wasnt cheap so i am really pissed at lenovo/ibm I can see the drive in bios menu, just cant do anything when it is pluged in. I updated bios like 3 times so i m this close to breaking something. Any help will do
@ Serg008 when i tried your bios mod, i received this message, i answered no and didin't go further. " part id of system bios and new image file are different (system=GCC, file=GCDç). the sytem platform may be different from the image file. are you sure you want to proceed ?"
