Hello, I'd like to request a 2.1 SLIC mod (for Win 7) for my Thinkpad if possible please?

    Current Details...
    Model: Lenovo Thinkpad T61 6459-CTO
    BIOS version: 7LETB0WW
    BIOS SLIC: 2.0 Lenovo
    BIOS Link: http://www.box.net/shared/s3nie4oq65 (FL1 file)
    RW Everything: http://www.box.net/shared/3tsiv4268j

I am linking to the FL1 file only, because there is a special network card mod done on that ROM and would like to retain it. The ROM already has SLIC 2.0 data and I would like to request a SLIC 2.1 version.

    Thank you!

I've just used "SLIC Dump TooKit" to dump my slic. Everytime I click "Dump" button, my Avira blocks the tool and says that it had a trojan call "TR/Hijacker.Gen Trojan" :(

EDIT: :) I dont worry about that anymore! Just got the info by the author:

put in 2.1 LENOVOCB-01 slic (see above, no reason to pick DELL, i assume you wanted that one since LENOVOCB-01 wasn't available until today). try at your own risk of course :)

done with manual method... please report back.

(i read your post above, xp activation has nothing to do with slic table ... so just install lenovo cert instead of dell for vista/win7, what's the difference?)

How can you simply modify Vista or Windows 7 Dell .iso in order to work with existing SLIC? Sorry, I really laik: (
Simply replace the existing certificate on the dell media and replace it with one of the bundled package (which in terms of s10e?) And then replace the OEM serial number on the media? Or need something extra?

    @ MODDERS, especially Yen

I have studied the Lenovo way and think I understand, I have been able to reproduce following the instructions. Yen just recently helped me understand that file.usf doesn't need to be expanded like file.FL1 does, it simply needs to be renamed file.rom.

Here is my problem: I renamed $image2r.usf to biosmod.rom and placed it in the DECOMPOSE folder. I pressed decompose.bat, but nothing happened. I have ran it with administrator rights, nothing. I just recently reinstalled XP to run it under that environment, nothing. I tried running "phnxsplit.exe biosmod.rom" in command prompt under both environments, but nothing happened. It simply said "Done".

Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong. Can you not rename file.usf to biosmod.rom and run decompose.bat? If you would like to try yourself.

    Thank You
