Sorry Sir, FL2-file always is for embedded controller! FL1-file always is machine-bios! Your error in reasoning is: ...read here Please be careful with "experimental" Bios-Mods, othwerwise you will destroy many machines of trusted users.
You bios backup is wrong... try this one Lenovo Thinkpad X230 Tablet_1.09 (GCET20WW)-gcuj04us__WL2.rar (5.37MB) http://www.sendspace.com/file/3laq2h Please post results. (use WINUPTP.EXE to update the bios) PS. .FL1 (for PC with bios ID TP-GC) and .FL2 (for bios ID TP-G1) were modified
In this case, you are mistaken: here we have two BIOS . FL1 (for PC with bios ID TP-GC) and . FL2 (for bios ID TP-G1) Phoenixtool can not unpack the bios FL1, so I have used a manual Insyde method Add. Andy, can you look on FL1 bios file http://forums.mydigitallife.net/thr...ially-Thinkpad?p=592251&viewfull=1#post592251 ? SLIC.LOG:
Hi Serg008, BIOS does not seem to work. I have tried to use your cert file in the rar without success (but the vbs says it's ok, loaded successfully). I'm stuck in the 30 day evaluation. Here's the RWE report: http://www.sendspace.com/file/mfd17q Please let me know if you found something. Thanks
From RWE report - you have Slic 2.1 Lenovo in bios. You bought a PC with Windows Vista preinstalled? 1. try to flash an original (non modified) bios, and, after reboot, check Slick with Slictoolkit (make/upload new RWE report). 2. If the Slic 2.1 will be missing, flash modified bios, and after reboot make/upload the screens of the Slictoolkit (Basic and Advanced tabs)?
(I have no this tablet and, so, can't run this flash utility to check the flashing option...) 1. run winuptp.exe, select "Update thinkpad bios", and if the Advanced tab is present untick the option like Bios version check 2. run winuptp.exe -s 3. copy $01DA000.FL1 to the folder with WinFlash32.exe (or ...64.exe), rename to 1DA000.FL1 and run WinFlash32.exe /v /sd /sv /svs 1DA000.FL1 (for Windows x32) or WinFlash64.exe /v /sd /sv /svs 1DA000.FL1 (for Win x64
Yeah - two BIOS: First = machine-bios, Second = emb. controller-bios You know "zender" (The beginner of modding Lenovo-Bioses and author of "phnxpatch" for removing whitelist)? http://www.endeer.cz/bios.tools/bios.html And this hasn't changed until today! This is also the reason, why your "mods" - relating fl2-files - doesn't work! In bad case, they brick bios.
Perhaps with the modern BIOSes the situation is much more complicated. This .exe file can be used for both, x230 and x230i tablet. Since the FL files have a different ID (TP-GC and TP-G1), we can assume that they are used for different systems. I have no desire to argue with you, but both of these files contain a module to check the device in WList.
...and I have no desire, to teach you in bios-modding. It was only a hint by me, before you do other quaint "bios-mods", who don't work and maybe brick users machines.
Can anyone help me with SLIC and device white list? -Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Lenovo Thinkpad x301 2776-P6U -Bios Revision : 6EET55WW (3.15) -Bios Type : Phoenix -Bios SLIC : 2.1 -Bios Link : http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-70462 -RwV Link : http://www.sendspace.com/file/prs8gr Thank you.
