I can modify this BIOS (to remove the check whether the WLAN card in the WList), but there is no an utility to flash the modified bios back.
Serg008, My apologies; I did search the forum for W530 and came up empty. I've since re-read about the Lenovo Ivy Bridge models and the problem flashing them. Bummer! It looks like this has been going on for a while now? Does that mean there's not likely a solution coming anytime soon? Thanks, Stephen
Hi all, Sorry for my english at begging. I hope I writing in good place. Few days ago I bought for my parents Lenovo B570. I install Win7 Pro x64, but I can't activate system with any loader (tried Daz, Extreme and smth else). I notice during making partitions I got one extra 100MB for system (normal as always), but also second one MRS 128MB (thats smth new for me). Probably this is the reason why loaders not working. Could you help me with my problem? I have no experience with other things than simple loaders. - Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Lenovo B570 - Bios Revision : How to check it? - Bios Type : Phoenix SecureCore Tiano - Bios SLIC : ? - Rw-everything report : ? Cheers
Thx for answer Serg008. Should I do that before I do partitions/format/install Windows, or after that? What is gonna change by this program?
You ask a lot of questions! This is a Lenovo's utility to add the marker into the BIOS. To return an original state just run from pure DOS "CLRMARK.bat" file. CLRMARK.bat - clear the marker SETMARK.bat - set the marker
Can anyone tell me how can I flash this on my Lenovo x200 7458-5NG? (I'm a complete noob) Running Windows 7 64bit.. I've tried searching the forum but I can't find anything specific Please help me because I don't have a warranty I need to be very careful...
Because I don't want to make smth wrong and want to have no probems in situation when I have to send my Lenovo to service . And I like when I know what I do and why I do . You can add my questions and your answers to "FAQ for very very green newbies x)" Few more questions later .
If you are using the marker tools you do not modify your BIOS, usually, this operation can not damage your computer.
