Excellent! Now this bios is version 1.19 and I currently have v1.18. Is it best to flash the unmodded 1.19 first?
Yes, of course. The original (non modified) same version bios should always be flashed at first. Then, after reboot, flash modified bios.
First of all, thanks for your work, your patches for my x301 worked perfectly. But now I've got new t430s. Is it possible to remove whitelist for this bios?
ok... i'll flash it in about an hour when I get back to my workstation in case something goes wrong. .... i can't believe I'm flashing with a bios that came from a stranger on the internet. I must be going mad.
Hey guys. I can't for the life of me seem to find the bios flash tool WinPhlash64 for my T60p. Every one I find has a file name which ends in US and not U6. Is there a 64bit tool. The modded bios files I just downloaded are "Lenovo_T60_7iuj17us_LENOVO_SLIC_SSV2_WL_removed". Edit: I just flashed the more recent bios 7IET38WW (1.19) and everything is good. Now I need to flash the bios with the Modded file. Unfortunately I'm a little confused. Do the modified files have to be recompiled into an ISO to be burned since I'm on a 64bit W7 system and I can only find a 32bit winphlash program? Thanks for your help everyone!
Can someone please tell me what I need to install the bios that was posted on the previous page for me. It will not install using any windows utility I can find on my T60p due to my Windows 7 X64, so i'm guessing I need a DOS utility. Which do I need? Thanks
Ok. I used Hiren's boot CD and by running mini-XP was able to use the included bios flash program and it worked flawlessly. After it rebooted, I shut down the laptop and installed my Toshiba branded 4965agn wifi adapter along with a third antenna which I ended up putting under the palm rest just right of the finger scanner. After I got it back together, i powered it back up.... only this time with NO BEEPING!! Best of all, once in Windows 7 I noticed this card was getting a full 300mbps about 40 feet away from my Engenius ESR-9850 plus it was able to max out my 30 megabit internet connection with ease. Again, thank you everyone who helped me get this laptop running properly. This week has been a good one so far. Not only was I given this Thinkpad T60p free of charge by a client I do computer work for, but i must say the build quality of these thinkpads are excellent (minus the palm rest). Now if there was only a way to install the 15.4" Truelife LED LCD screen that was from my now fried Dell XPS m1530 (graphics chip defect). Without question, it had one of the best screens i've seen ever.
Hi, I flashed the original and then the mod but still there is no marker in BIOS, do you have any other marker tool ? thanks again for your help
