    Sl510 2847csg

Hi experts, first time requester here so please let me know if I do something wrong. I am trying to get an Intel 5100 wifi card to work on my SL510 2847CSG, which Thinkwiki said was supported, but at bootup I am told it is not certified and it will not let me load my OS. After many hours searching, I have not yet found a compatible modded BIOS. Please help me!

I think this is what other people have done to make it easier...
    SL510 2847CSG 11/04
    BIOS 1.43 (6JET85WW)
    BIOS Date 2010-12-24
    Embedded controller version 1.26
    Factory BIOS bootable CD http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6juj28uc.iso
    Factory BIOS update utility http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6juj28us.exe

    No current card
    Card being added here http://www.ebay.com/itm/271090719191?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648

If there is no major gain and if it's too difficult, I suppose I could buy another card, but I got this one since it was recommended. Thank you for helping!

Thanks Serg, you are a legend!
I have just a couple more noob questions before I proceed, if you don't mind.
    1. How exactly do I install the new BIOS? I know it's probably pretty stright-forward, but I don't feel like trashing my new laptop from lack of research.
    2. I have another CPU that I put in this, which would allow me to access the BIOS but when booting from HDD it said the CPU was not supported. Doe this whitelist hack also remove the CPU limitations as well?
    3. Should I use the Slic one, or the wlist only? I have a dreamspark account and get free operating systems, and also sometimes use a loader depending on which OS I am installing. What should I be aware of?

Thanks a TON Serg, you're my hero!

I read the Readme, it says to install the factory BIOS (which I did using my link from the Lenovo support site), and then to "flash modified bios (run WINUPTP.EXE /s)"

When I ran the WINUPTP from the Slic+Wlist folder, it said the same BIOS was already installed, and would not let me install it again. So then I tried opening a RUN command window, and typed in WINUPTP.EXE /s and it said that it could not be found. Then I tried using WinPhlash in the 32bit and 64 bit folders, but it could not find a compatible BAK file in the folders. So I directed it to the BAK file in the main folder with the WINUPTP.EXE application, and flashed using that. After shutting down and installing the wifi card, I turn on the laptop and still see "ERROR 1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - etc.etc.etc."

    What do I do?

    Hi to all modding specialists!

A few days ago I bought this notebook:
    Lenovo IdeaPad S400

Unfortunately does not offer the Bios-File on their website.

Acc. SLIC-Toolkit v3.2 the following Bios is in use:
    Insyde Bios, 6DCN20WW(V1.08), 07/25/2012, 4608K
Dump OK! (But SLIC OEM ID or Digital Signature Error!)

Is there a possibility to add SLIC 2.1 for Windows 7 activation?

Thank you very much for useful comments in advance!

    1. unpack the rar file. Go to the "Modified" folder and create Flash.bat file in it with this string:
    Code:
    WINUPTP.EXE /s
then run flash.bat file as Administrator (right mouse click - as Administrator)
    2. only WLAN whitelist was patched. To add new CPU support to the bios make a request here http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Forum-Bios-Mods-Forum
    3. Slic 2.1 - for offline Win7 activation http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/7126-The-Official-Windows-7-Repository

Well, I tried everything you suggested, and even tried with -s instead of /s like the readme said to, but nothing worked. It said that WINUPTP.EXE could not be found (even though it was in the folder.) So what I wound up doing was flashing back to the older BIOS, and then flashing straight to your modified BIOS without updating to the most current factory one in between. Critical success, my 5100 card now seems to work fine (after 45 seconds of testing so far.)

Thank you very much Serg008 for the support, keep rocking and helping people!
