    Then is it possible to downgrade the bios version? If there's a way to do that then how can it be done?
    & i know u'll come up with something in the future 'cause ur one of the MDL Gurus.:smile3:

    Hi

    i found the module with the Wifi string in it. I replaced the string with the atheros string and rebuild the bios using PhoenixTools.

    Now i have the problem that i get the error 234 message.

    So no chance atm to get a modded bios flashed in X230???

    Thank you very much, Serg008. Do you know whether this bios has the Lenovo whitelist or not? In the case it has, how can I clear this whitelist to allow the instalation of a WiFi PCI card?

    Requesting a BIOS for my Thinkpad R61 (8935-cto with 15" lcd screen) Currently on 2.24 (70ETC4WW) with embedded controller version 1.08
    Currently not activating Win7 either x86 or x64.
