Thank´s a lot. I will post the results later, but it will take some time, because the original bios requires a fully charged baterry within the laptop (never seen thatbefore) and I have none (but already ordered)
Slic: LENOVO 2.1 Bios mod: Thinkpad_T60_79uj34us_79ETE7WW_LEN21 https://www.box.com/s/k7jlvwnjekaxinlfftq3 Flashed original at first, then reboot and flash bios mod (from DOS with included flash utility) Please post results.

I'm really desperate.
Thanks. I guess you were referring to standard procedure about upgrading to the latest BIOS, since I don't see any BIOS releases for Lenovo IdeaPad S400 on their website. Unless you have other ideas about the particular BIOS for IdeaPad S400, I'm going to use the mod above. Thanks again!
I just realized that I would need help from someone to mod the BIOS for Lenovo IdeaPad S400 to whitelist wifi network adapters. I installed a new Intel Ultimate N 633ANHMW WiFi Adapter (Mini PCI Express), but I get an "Unauthorized Wireless Card" error because Lenovo hasn't whitelisted it. Please help in mod'ing the following BIOS so that my new card is usable. Here are the details of the BIOS: --- Product: Lenovo IdeaPad S400 BIOS: Insyde BIOS Version: 6DCN88WW (v8.02) EC Version: 6DEC88WW (v8.02) Date: 09/01/2012 --- Backup of BIOS taken with "Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0" has been uploaded to: http://www.datafilehost.com/download-339a98ba.html --- (Text from Universal Backup Toolkit) ---- Type: Others BIOS / ACPI 2.0 Custom: 4608K Size: 4608K Vendor: LENOVO Version: 6DCN88WW (v8.02) Date: 09/01/2012 --- Really appreciate any help with this. Request for Lenovo/IBM Thinkcentre A55 Model 8975-75G, CPU Intel E2140, Bios version: 2oj948a Having a couple of issues, I did try and make my own Slic using Andy's tool, but pubkey didn't match. Also for some reason even the original BIOS will only allow the CPU to run at a max speed of 800mhz instead of 1.6ghz, the same thing happens in Linux or Windows, the only information given is 600-800mhz if I run commands in Linux, tried older BIOS's and it's still the same, if I turn off GV1/GV3 in BIOS it will run at 1.6ghz but I lose Speedstep and uses too much electricity. I have had the CPU under load but it still will only go between 600-800mhz. Code: analyzing CPU 0: driver: acpi-cpufreq CPUs which run at the same hardware frequency: 0 CPUs which need to have their frequency coordinated by software: 0 maximum transition latency: 10.0 us. hardware limits: 600 MHz - 800 MHz available frequency steps: 800 MHz, 600 MHz available cpufreq governors: conservative, userspace, powersave, ondemand, performance current policy: frequency should be within 600 MHz and 800 MHz.
