I recently bought a thinkpad x60 (1707 c9u) off ebay. It came loaded with windows 7 pro. Long story short the wireless in it sucked so I tried to upgrade which is when I learned of the bios whitelist. I tried to flash with the whitelist modded bios from digital life (7buj28us) as the thinkpad already showed bios version 2.19. I used the winflash utility, it only got to the backing up flash part and froze up long enough windows wanted to close it and after nearly an hour i let it. Bad move apparently, not the laptop will not do anything except turn on the fan for about 10 seconds, and a green light that looks like a circle with a squiggly line in it. After hooking the hardrive up to usb, i didnt see any backed up bios flashes, but I did see a folder that led me to believe the original seller used a windows 7 loader for activation, so who knows may have been the original problem. I tried the phoenix crisis recovery to no avail so I ordered a new mb which will be here in a cpl days. I also ordered a programer to reprogram the bios chip, which will take a couple weeks to arrive. Now I need to know what I have to flash to this chip and where can I get it? Thank you.
