hi all my lenovo x301 crashed, when i try update bios(laptop Suddenly off) now,when i try to on it,3 beep(2short 1 long),no screen... i removed battery bios and replace it,but noting change. in my country isn't ibm service center and i want to make EEPROM programer with avr( or... )and flash bios to Previous version 1.anyone can find HEX or BIN file bios x301(ID 2774a76) for me? please 2.do you now application for read & write bios chip?(my bios chip is p24s08) 3.or ,other solution? thanks...
Ok, can you post the dump from the SPI chip that you found? With this package you will likely need a hot air rework station to work with it.

yes i can,but i haven't a bios dumper. i have to build it whit an avr or buy programer or... (one week long) why dumping my bios? it is not correct data(bios crashed)!why you need it? no any solution ? when i power bottom laptop 3 beeps heard (1long 2short) but when i plug usb (bios recovery data),no beeps! my usb led flashing 3 second,then usb led stay on. excuse me,i cant writing English very well
BIOS on Laptop consists of two parts - one for Embedded Controller and another for x86 BIOS itself. Manufacturer BIOS upgrade application knows where the upgrade should go in a BIOS and which part goes to which address within a chip. Without manufaturer documentation, which I assume you don't have, it is not possible to know for certain how to cut the downloaded BIOS file to fit it into a BIOS chip. Having the existing contents of a BIOS chip may shed a light on where certain parts of BIOS need to go. As you can see from my post about T530 a few posts ago, the BIOS file that got downloaded from within the laptop OS was not an exact fit for the SPI BIOS chip and needed some cutting. Here is a question for you: Does the cooling fan spin up when your power up your laptop? If it doesn, your Embedded Controller BIOS is likely intact. If not, it may be corrupted.
