    Unfortunately I never considered the BIOS being passworded and so did not make a backup, however I don't see how having a backup would have helped, as I can do nothing, boot to nothing as it stands. I am locked out of the BIOS by the password so I can't boot to a USB or anything.

    This is for a different model, I cannot see or find a backup batter on my board.

    is there already a marker-tool for
    Lenovo ThinkPad X230 (i) ?
    to add slic in Bios?

    So mny Thanks thanh2h - it works - flashed & got a success !
    caus cert. was already installed - win got activated :)

    i searched for THIS tool many hours - but all try was invalid for this machine
    now i got "marked" in 1 second :) with your help!
