Hello, I'm using X201 with wi-fi whitelisted bios. I want to update bios to a newer version. I found one in this thread. Instructions file for this bios says: "FLASH ORIGINAL (non modified) bios, then, after reboot - flash modified bios !!!". Will my thinkpad reboot with original bios? Or I will need to remove wireless card first and then reboot?

Excellent! I was looking at model numbers, not bios name...
    Thank you!

you can not boot with original bios , you must remove the wifi card first and then flash the new whitelist bios like you said

Maybe there is another way? Like disabling wireless in BIOS?

i dont know about that but when i flashed original bios with my whitelisted wifi card installed i saw that you cant even go to the bios settings, it stuck on power on with a message to remove the card...

but i have successfully flashed over my previous whitelist bios without flashing the original first, but my previous bios had already the same ECP ID: 1.24 only the BIOS ID: 1.39 from 1.37 changed with the new bios update. (all this on my lenovo thinkpad x220 i dont know if it works on other laptops)

either way you do it at your own risk ...

    Hello to everyone.
Help please delete whitelist on Lenovo B550 (20053).
    Now the BIOS shows:
    BIOS Version: 18CN42WW (V2.51)
    EC Version: 18EC34WW (V2.51)
    Board number: 2304268101774
    On the website found:
lenovo G450_G550_B550_18CN44WW_V2.53_no_whitelist_by_ttav134 and Lenovo G450_G550_B550_18CN46WW_V2.55_Len21_wl but the version they CN46 and CN44.
I understand it must be for me, but I'm afraid to break.
Help please, I want to replace the WiFi on N. If you have an existing EXE, it would be great :worthy:
Thank You very much, and sorry for my English o_O

P.S. Found in the archives of the lenovo G450_G550_B550_18CN44WW_V2.53_no_whitelist_by_ttav134 x64_18CN44WW_V2.53 run one file under Windows, this is what I need?

    Yeah. Wrong bios file name.
    BIOS.BAT:
    Code:
    WinPhlash.exe /c /s /BBL /vuv /ESCD BIOS.wph
    Bios file name:
    Code:
    BIOS_Wlist.whp

I have got a Lenovo IdeaPad G580 with free DOS.

I think there is no slic 2.1 for Windows 7 available, how can I flash Slic 2.1 in this?

p.s I downloaded the Windows 7 DVD from this website for all manufacturers, is there also a same DVD for Windows 8?
