it's old style phoenix ... use phnxdeco-experimental.exe instead of phnxsplit.exe ( phnxdeco-experimental.exe your.rom -xs ) ill take a look at it for you, id have to look at the old phoenix procedure though, i havent done that mod yet.
-xs i get 1 file, MOD_2FE9.rom, and then stops -x i get all files, but not named too nice, but decernable -x @ file phoenix_.B3 is the only .b# file that have "LENOVO" anywhere in it, but not a SLIC name, like LENOVOCB-01 or anything like that you would expect to find
I used a modified BIOS SLIC Dump me indicates "Dump OK! (But OEM SLIC Table Error!)" Can you ask for modifications to SLIC Dell 2.1 I could use my Vista DVD?
FWIW, PBE handles this OK for me, just run it a couple times and compare files so you know it found all modules right (no corruption)... from phoenix bios editor directory in cmd prompt open bios in PBE mkdir TEMP2 copy TEMP\* TEMP2 close bios reopen bios in PBE comp TEMP\* TEMP2\* > result.txt then open result.txt in notepad to see if all files compared OK...
sweet, ok all files compared ok... so i searched through all the bioscod files and i found LENOVOTC-2R in BIOSCOD1.ROM, which is what SLIC 2.0 i have. So in the LENOVO WAY it says go to BIOSCOD4.ROM, so is that a definite, or was that just the bioscod file that had the LENOVOXX-XX SLIC in that particular bios? What i'm asking is, do I change LENOVOTC-2R to something else, like LENOVOCB-01, since LENOVOTC-2R isn't out in SLIC 2.1? Or do I have to add that info into BIOSCOD4.ROM somehow? thanks EDIT: and I found LENOVOTC-2R in ACPI2.ROM
@chaddawkins I have noticed very limited support for the ideapad line-up... and there have been various problems in generating ACPI tables from these machines. Is there something inherently different in the construction of either the BIOS architecture or physical hardware of these machines... that make SLIC editting difficult?
i'm no authority here... i just spend too much time here i know there isn't as much support from lenovo on these products as think**** products, price point my last thinkpad t60p was ~$2300, how much are ideapads? a few hundred? so, yeah, probably "something inherently different in the construction... or physical hardware", but I seriously doubt BIOS architecture. it also may have something to do with x86, x64... from what i've read on here, something about some of these programs in x64 environment doesn't jive
Any confirmations on which ones work? maybe confirmations can be added to the list is the x200 3.05 confirmed working? 6duj33jp_TC-5M_SLIC21.zip And does winphlash work under 64bit vista/win7 or just 32bit vista/win7?

hey, the modders don't get paid for this, just be patient... if people repeat stuff on page 6 already we'll have a nightmare keeping track...
