Upon opening the WinPhlash , click "Advanced Settings" then check and uncheck the boxes so it looks like this: ("Flags" Tab): [ ] Verify BIOS part number [ ] Flash only if BIOS version is different [ ] Flash only if BIOS version is newer [ ] Verify BIOS image size [ ] Verify BIOS checksum [ ] Zero block before erasing [x] Verify block after programming [x] Disable Axx swaping automatic detection (if present) [ ] Clear CMOS Checksum ("DMI" tab) "Update": Select "Update the BIOS and not DMI"
Please reply when you can, even if to simply say "What you want is not possible". In that case, I can move on and buy a machine that is not crippled this way. Thank you
Hi Serg008 Firstly thank you so much for all your hard work on this forum. I have read your threads on trying to revive a Lenovo Thinkpad E525, but the links to all the files appear to have been deleted. The machine will not boot past the Windows 7 splash screen, I have taken the following steps: - 1) Formatted the hard drive in another machine 2) Tried to update the bios using the bootable CD from Lenovo 8huj17us.iso file. The update appears to hand and was looking to flash the bios and try again... Please could I once again prevail on your kindness to assist? Many thanks & regards miloticus
Has anyone made a whitelist BIOS for the Lenovo Thinkpad Helix? Really wanting to ditch the terrible Intel Centrino 6205 N with a 7260AC
