    Well, I admit none software method will work for Yoga.
    I'll start preparing everything needed for the ideapad modding. I'll let you know how it goes.

    @siliconbeaver
    I hope you still remember how to boot into GRUB, because for Lenovo S120 this is the only option.

    This will switch Boot Mode to Legacy:
    "setup_var_cv OilSetup 0xC 0x1 0x0";
    "setup_var_cv System 0x2 0x1 0x0";
    "setup_var_cv System 0x3 0x1 0x0";
    "setup_var_cv System 0x19 0x1 0x1";
    "setup_var_cv Setup 0x445 0x1 0x1".

    This will switch USB Mode to Legacy:
    "setup_var_cv OilSetup 0x0 0x1 0x1";
    "setup_var_cv System 0x15 0x1 0x1".

    This will set Secure Boot Disabled:
    "setup_var_cv SCT_SECURE_BOOT_CONFIGURATION 0x3 0x1 0x0".

    Quite a lot, right? I don't know why they did so much.

    I did try in past. Lenovo S120 is different to Yoga.
    Win 7 install, Yoga problem was, couldn't boot. freezing up at boot stage. while Lenovo S120, its problem was to install. its boot no any problem.
    Lenovo S120 bios can setup "CSM" mode. can set Secure Boot Disabled. after boot, when install, Win7 couldn't see any disk to install. i.e. Lenovo S120 hides its disk for Win 7. If install Win 8.1/10/11, then disk exists and install goes through. I did try all install and present OS Is Win 11.

    If so, do you also have an "OS Selection" setting? It should be right above the "CSM Control" setting in the Boot tab. And the setting has Win7 available for selection.

    I am loading its BIOS settings.
    upload_2022-5-29_3-32-6.png

    BOOT mode options: Legacy/UEFI
    BOOT priority: Legacy/UEFI
    USB BOOT: Enabled

    But no "OS Selection" you mentioned. Hence no way to select Win 7 (I did google search. same hardware settings, laptops of HP, Fujitsu, can run Win 7. Only Lenovo cannot. these three companies all made this model or similar)

    I see.
    Are you going to try to install Windows 7 again? But after execution the following: setup_var_cv Setup 0x441 0x1 0x2.
    I wonder why the manuf. did put this setting in the device's BIOS and hid it.

    Good evening everyone.
    Is it possible to mod the bios of Lenovo B590 20206 as to use an aftermarket battery?
    I get the well known message battery is not supported.....etc.
    THANK YOU.

    Hello, I have a ThinkPad W510, and have the modded BIOS that was posted here a few years ago. I wanted to install a FHD LCD panel on the W510, but most sellers say you cannot because of the newer EDIDs that are being used. Is there a way someone could maybe patch the original mod to fix this?

    Thanks

    Weird, if I try to download that 7z on windows, I get a 'Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml' virus alert. If I download on linux and then extract the 7z and move it back to windows to scan, it finds nothing after extracting.
