I think it's the 1st generation with Model No: 3448-AW6. It was shipped with a Windows 8.1 Pro and I upgraded for free to Windows 10 but found it very slow. I decided to install Windows 7 as I thought there would be SLIC 2.1 built in the BIOS, which I found a big mistake. I used marker tool but did not go through. I checked my BIN file (Lenovo TP-G6) in SLIC Toolkit and it said corrent. The BIN file is from https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/oa-2-x-slic-oemcert-collection.5952/page-53#post-514521 When I run FL2 /w:G6.BIN it said SYSTEM ID: LENOVOTP-G6 MARKER ID: NOVOTP-G6 Marker is not for this system. I guess it might be the reason of latest BIOS released in November 2018 and I can't find any SLIC information in RWEverything. Would be appreciated to hear your kind advice.
I used Phoenix UEFI Winflash to backup the firmware and modded with PhoenixTool 2.73. It said successful as I chose the TP-G6.bin as SLIC file and RWEverything file as assistance. Now I have two questions: 1. Is it safe to flash back this modded version in a Thinkpad? The file size is only 4MB. 2. How to flash back such modded version in a Thinkpad? I tried Phoenix UEFI Winflash (skip version/same version/date check), Winphlansh, Winphlash 64, Phlash16 but all failed.
