Help resetting CompuTrace entry in Pheonix Bios is greyed out. Lenovo x100e bios link: hxxp://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6xuj14us.exe Request for UNlocked bios setting to be able to choose to activate or permantly disable Computrace . Currently no bios passwords exist and Computrace is Selection menu is Greyed out. I have read that using hexeditor to Mod Setup.rom and or Strings.rom maybe the way to go. can someone plz. guide me in the right direction. PBE unpacks fine but does not allow changes to the TYPE entries. I don't mind putting in the reading time or doing the mod myself just need guidence on how to accomplish this. In the past this has been done successfully on Dell computers with the aid of dccu reset disk. by resetting ASSET TAG with EEVALUE. but can't figure out how to do it with lenovo bioses. resetting asset tag does not reset Computrace bios selection for Lenovo Thinkpads.
