Im using Ubuntu mini.iso 17.10.x with budgie installed

can i disable budie DE running right after startup

And only if running a cmd it will run

And use minimal DE , like window manager and app launcher runs on startup
When i need budgie it will be on top of that

    Thx

OK, it's Linux Mint with budgie. Shouldn't make a difference, just follow the instructions and the advice in the link above.

Usually, when you have multiple desktops installed in LM or Ubuntu, you must log out and log back in to switch desktops. The command I gave above is really meant to be used if budgie crashes for some reason and you need to force a restart.
