Locking down the PC Platform

    Can anyone with a newer Intel z690 motherboard confirm the following, even with secure boot DISABLED:

    1.. There is no BIOS setting to disable WiFi, even though you can disable the NIC adaptor and virtually all other MB devices.
    2. The UEFI boot record remains persistent in the BIOS, even after you wipe the drive, clear the BIOS and remove thie boot drive from your PC. So, for example, if you delete Windows or Linux grub from an M.2 drive those boot managers are still listed as available boot choices even though you can't actually boot with them. (Not sure if this is trus on an SSD)
    3. Some products like Microsoft Office take much longer to install because of extensive scanning of the PC system and older versions of Visio (2010 and 2013) won't install at all.

    And, no, my PC does not have a virus and I had no issues with my previous z590 board.
