Crackers always choose the most viable target. If you can crack Pro, why should you bother with the inferior Home? There also were the Media Center and Tablet Editions. For Home, SLP 1.0 or AntiWPA did the trick.
I’m expecting Vista source code leak in around 2027-2028. But that depends when they really stop server 2008 ESU. XP and 2003 source is available on GitHub
Even better, it is possible to compile Windows Server 2003 source code and create a self-compiled ISO. But providing instructions to build self-compiled OS would be against the rules I think. So I can't provide an instruction. Sorry.
Ok that statement was made in error, i’ll see if I can find the missing ISOs and provide links to them as well. Thanks for pointing this out!
MCE and Tablet PC Editions are installed via another CD. These ISOs provided in first post are actually CD1. If you want to have MCE or Tablet PC Editions, you need CD2 of respective ISO. Also RTM versions do not have MCE or Tablet PC Editions.
Yea, there are several variants of getting a MCE. You can install via exe, msi, or another ISO etc. I was searching for the original iso(s) for MCE without install any other before that. Any like: en_winxp_mce_2005_cd1.iso, en_winxp_mce_2005_cd2.iso but with sp3. But I made it now via addon: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...005-add-on-for-windows-xp-discontinued.83007/ Seems working so far. - Except for this part: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-installer-v1-6-2.82935/page-120#post-1785172 Not sure how to get the freestyle branding. In current run I added: - Ricks_XP_to_MCE05_en.7z - netfx10_addon - en_tabletpc_2005_sp3.7z In this order, but the script still says MCE. Maybe I need to add netfx11 or any other.. idk.. its very confusing. Main goal is to get all the Post-Post-SP3 Updates (Embedded Ones), it seems like these are only applicable on embedded AND MCE/Tablet. (or via hack, but that fails for me yet) Then adding (and removing) some other stuff, and in the end, running the script... there were a lot of problems I need to figure my own, George King does not reply to any reports it seems. Maybe I make an own thread for this mini project.
Yes, I'm not going to investigate currently public XP2ESD things, sorry about that. We need to move to new v1.7 which is realy improved in many cases. Freestyle branding is handled by XP2ESD when Tablet PC and Media Center exist in Windows, so Windows XP Freestly is like Ultimate now in this logic.
Yea. That I tried. nLite: adding: Ricks_XP_to_MCE05_en.7z and en_tabletpc_2005_sp3.7z. but extracting still shows Media Center edition, not freestyle yet. What is to do get the branding exactly?
Oh.... okay.. my bad so, thought it works with current/older script because the mentioned post was months ago. Okay, so even more reasons to welcome the new version. Just see now, I unseen it: Nice, thanks a lot, will check this out.
