MS could not have picked a worse time, considering current and upcoming hardware shortages (due to neon and palladium), skyrocketing the prices for whatever is left. MS is actually forcing people to move to linux.
Well, no, I highly doubt that. Windows 10 will still be there, and do the job quite nicely. Don't get me wrong, I like linux and unix, always have. I made a very good living for many years supporting Red Hat and scientific applications running under Red Hat in the corporate world. But the "year of linux" ain't never gonna happen, sorry.
An incredibly smart solution that, I'm sure, nobody already tried. Likely you are going to win the noble prize.
