Plz help. I have lost all control of windows update in 8.1 Pro. I have tried deleting all files in the Software Distribution folder, editing Group Policy setting. Nothing works. I don't have any options in the pull down, just says: some settings are being controlled by the system administrator. (I have full admin. rights) Do you think that a KB update installed itself and has control of the settings? I used the have "Never check for updates" as an option that is no longer in the pull down. Oh yeah, checked the Services and they are running. Any help appreciated. Lynnyrd
