Hello, Upgraded from LTSB 2016 to LTSC 2019. All folders in C drive including data in other partitions is marked read-only. I am default user/local admin. What can I do? Thanks!
@Enthousiast Sorry for being confusing... I did a clean install, not an upgrad. I meant I went from 2016 to 2019, but, I did a delete partition, format, etc. So, it is a clean install. @AndyMutz @ yes, I have the original, first release: en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso Please tell me more. What the heck was wrong with it and where do I get the lastest?
If it's a clean install aka from boot and reformatting/partitioning then the "user files get deleted when upgrading" problem with 17763.1 doesn't matter, that is only for when you start the 2019 LTSC setup on the running 2016 LTSB.
Okay, so, I will be more clear. My SSD had 2016 in the first partition, a blank partition, and a data partition. I deleted the first partition, formatted it and used it to install 2019; an extra system reserved partition was created. I am able to install software, download stuff, but, an app (youtube-dlg) is giving me problems, even though it was working in 2016. I get some permissions errors. I am also not able to run youtube-dl manually, from c drive or the portable version from another disk/partition. Many people have said that Read only Attribute (only applies to files in folder) has been problematic on folders after installing Windows 10? Should I be worried? Try to re-install? Try a different updated ISO?
Always completely re-partition the system drive (no need for deleting the extra storage partitions if there were any on the disk).
@Enthousiast Yes, I don't believe there was an extra system partition with 2016, it is gone anyway; but there is one system reserved partition now and the regular C drive. Okay, so, looks like my problem is with the particular app. Thanks your help!
